Super S/Hero Vs. Villain To be Good or To be Bad is Always The Question? As I have entered into adulthood I have found myself playing both roles. The Super S/Hero, who everyone loves and always come to the rescue. The villain, who is the complete opposite. However, the villain is where I have felt most sane. Quite evil you may think, but the idea of being selfish and a complete Bitch has brought me nothing but growth, love, and absolute tranquility. In this westernized view of a S/Hero are all these positive connotations of perfection. Put everyone before yourself, thinking of the greater good, and being quick to forgive are all qualities of a hero that yield absolute complete selflessness. You are not allowed to sleep in late or focus on yourself, because you have to be a S/HERO. You have to get everything right and do what everyone else wants you to do. In all this is perfection the S/Hero make other people happy, stop kids from crying, and live a life where everything seems to work itself out in some divine fashion. When in reality, NOTHING about life is perfection. No matter how hard we consider the variables and input them into the equation ISH just does not work out exactly as we planned. Even when a situation is going to hell in a brown paper bag the S/Hero spontaneously saves the day. When in reality, the situation just goes to HELL and we deal to try to find Heaven in Hell. Now, The Villain, the bad guy we teach children not become. The Villain is actually who we should be teaching our kids to love. We should to aspire to be, because there is self-fulfillment in being a Villain. The villain does not fall victim to westernized views of perfection. They are okay if they don’t fit in and if everyone is not onboard with their vision, so they do not have a problem disappointing people. They have no problem following their dreams even if they only pay out $1.50/hr. The villain usually experience some type of trauma that prompts them to become a rebel. On this journey they spend a lot of time developing their self. This development process allows you to write down your vision, a game plan, and also a way to deal with setbacks. NOTHING IS PERFECT AND THAT IS OKAY. It prepares you for life. AT NO POINT AM I TELLING YOU TO BECOME EVIL OR DARK. My goal is actually to encourage you to shine a light through yourself. Get to know who you are, what you like, what makes you happy, what are your boundaries and just key questions that lead you to know more about yourself. You may disappoint people, but you will make yourself proud. You will find out a lot more about your true desires when you block out all ideals of perfections and focus on Self. Being a Super S/Hero is cool in some cartoon movie, but in reality it is completely toxic. It creates these standards of who you have to become, how you need to act, what people are entitled to do to you, and if you are not meeting this standards it can become a drain. The villain, represents freedoms, and the true definition of not giving fuck about society. The Super S/Hero, is cool because it can be manipulated to act right, while the villain doesn’t always do what is expected. This idea of self-love is not easy, people may think you are a complete Bitch. That is fine I’m not here to please everybody. I will Not stress myself out trying to. So Alex, I’ll take The Villain for $5oo please! Thank-You!
